That texture I used has a background too :--) mountains and forests and stuff.

Let's see if I can explain this in a way anyone's able to understand (do ask for better info if I'm being horribly unhelpful). Here are the steps for what I did:

I made the gifs the same way I always do. All four of them were sized as 250x250.

Chose the ones I wanted to make smaller. I changed the canvas-size of those +50 (not sure if it was fifty or something else, but it's all the same nevertheless) both in height and width. This enlarges only the background, not stretching the image and screwing it up.

I changed the image sizes back to 250x250.

And TA-DAH! You've got a gif that appears to be smaller, but fills the gifset spot normally :--)

It's super simple, but my explaining skills are horrid. But yeap, hope this helps!
