Think it ate my last ask. Loved your fic, but I can’t stop thinking about the hospital scene. Zim didn’t at all try to clean off his eye before having it reattached. He was just fine with it being held with greasy, gross, bloody, *human* hands. Disgusting. Who knows what Dib got on it.

I imagine the hospital would clean Dib’s stuff (including this weird fake eyeball he has) before giving it back to him if they could, though from Dib’s slip-up Zim already knows he’s cried on it so there’s tears on there

I feel like dealing with fae stuff is pretty dangerous for our favorite irken, given he yells his name every two seconds. It would be mighty unfortunate if they won against another creature, or were just about to escape, and he jumps out and yells 'I am Zim' or 'victory for Zim', instantly negating anything they just did.

Dib's just a quivering ball of anxiety because he KNOWS that if Zim gets stolen by the fae, the fact that they're kind of friends now means that Dib is gonna feel like he has to go back and save his green idiot.

also if you wanna get into john dies at the end i totally recommend it but i also will warn you its kind of a heavy series! deals with some Intense Shit, i think i reblogged a link to an online version a while ago that came with trigger warnings but ill tell you upfront it deals with drug/alcohol abuse, implied csa (something that does not happen in the course of the books but is part of a character’s story, and it’s not handled grossly i can say), and the first book contains slurs but the next 2 do not and theyre not used flippantly. that may seem liek a lot of a warning label but i will also say its absolutely worth it ! i fuckin adore it, i just wouldnt feel right chuckin it at anyone without giving them some adequate warnings. it’s about the level of darkness youd expect from a horror series BUT the comedy is absolutely fucking top-notch and offers a good breather from the darker shit. its really well balanced imo.
