What's your opinion on tf2? The longevity of the game, what you think it needs, what it needs less of
I like TF2, but I don’t take advantage of the huge amount of variety that it offers, to be honest. I almost exclusively play as one class (scout) on two or three different game types (KOTH, Attack/Defend, Control Points). I think they are beginning to reach a point where it’s becoming more and more difficult to introduce new weapons while remaining balanced considering the massive amount of options for customization each character already has, so it’s hard to say what will keep the game going at this point beyond the fact that it is a whole lot of fun and has a pretty large, dedicated community, although that community will dwindle if the stream of new content slows down, I think. For the most part it seems to have comparatively less annoying newbie players than many similar games have, and I rarely experience obnoxious players either through voice chat or text chat. If anything could be improved, it might be the way servers automatically balance teams based on classes and player skill; as a scout, if the other team has halfway-competent engineers/soldiers/etc., I can be utterly ineffective if I don’t have a balanced, competent team to play with, no matter how well I can do by myself. One good scout alone cannot cap the final point if there are two sentries and all I have to destroy them is the force-a-nature (I used FAN/mad milk/bat).
