it has a lot of names so, probably!  i call it boba because i lived in an apartment for 2 years that was a few blocks from a shop that sold it, and boba is what they called it, and i got it like twice a week.  what do you call it

I mean i also don’t really tend to kill my players too much and the last time we Everyone Died, I rewound time because that’s no fun. The real stakes are in the emotional problems.

i’m convinced i remember at least one other good one but i’ve lost my encyclopedic knowledge so i’ve gone a-googling and you might be right, it’s all worse than i remember. like i was convinced i remembered samifer as having good hair but he really doesn’t, i just retroactively projected good hair onto him because i like that scene so much

Best game you've ever played?On opposite ends of an arbitrary metric of “best,” Journey is the best game because it is a perfectly encapsulated meaningful 2-hour experience, and Minecraft is the best game because it is an infinite meaningful experience generator

Worst game you've ever played?I’m sure there’s a lot of worse games I’ve played briefly and forgotten, but the worst game I can think of that I sunk substantial time into was Death By Degrees.  It was a shitty 2005 PS2 action thing starring Nina from Tekken that my mom rented for me from the video store.  It’s repetitive, misogynistic, and has terrible controls!  But I kept playing it anyway because I was a kid and having access to any new game was a treat

A popular series/game you just can't get into no matter how much you try?Fallout.  It’s so dreary!  Everyone’s barely living on scraps, everything’s brown and full of trash.  I just don’t enjoy being in that universe!  Sorry

A game that's changed you the most?EverQuest, where I first developed an online social life at age 9

A game you'll never forget?However Konami tries to eradicate it from the annals of history, I will never ever forget my darling P.T.

Best soundtrack?The Bastion soundtrack is one of my favorite albums of all time.  Listen to this, it’s kickawesome

Hardest game you've played? I Wanna Be The Guy.  I never did actually beat The Guy, because I can only do twitchy video game stuff when it’s the same every time and I can commit it to muscle memory.  So I can get the platforming eventually, but reacting to a dynamic boss is a bit beyond me.  Still, getting to the final boss of that game, even if I didn’t beat him, is still the most challenging video game achievement of my lifetime

A game you were the most excited for when it wasn't released yet? I was incredibly hyped for Portal 2, and left with mixed feelings that fester to this day

Character you've hated most? From what game?It’s hard to get through Silent Hill 4 without developing a sincere dislike for Eileen Galvin

What game do you never tell people you play?I probably shouldn’t have told people about my obsession with the Kim Kardashian mobile game, but instead I tweeted about it constantly because I have no shame.  That was years ago tho, can’t think of any current embarrassing games

A game you wish your friends knew about?Uhh I guess I wish more people played Terraria so I’d have someone to finish Terraria with

Biggest disappointment you've had in gaming? The Silent Hill ““““HD”””” Collection, basically the video game version of that 2012 meme of the botched restoration of the Jesus fresco

Has there ever been a moment that has made you cry? I cried at the ending of Final Fantasy X (to be fair I was like 11).  Mary’s letter at the end of Silent Hill 2 has made me cry a great many times (as an adult, no excuses).  The end of Telltale’s The Walking Dead season 1 got me too

yeah dude i feel bad for abandoning it legally! i didn’t want to go by that in daily life bc no one would know how to spell or pronounce it, and being Leigh Thessaly would be redundant, but it’s good as an internet pseudonym. my mom picked it because of the legend that witches from thessaly control the moon which is badass
