Captain Nemo said okay
(Five, four, three, two, one)
Then I raised my hand and waved
Captain Nemo went away
(Love me when I'm gone)
Left me all alone
Nemo's going home . . .

I like that you make Nemo a good dad figure to a girl
Thanks! Yeah I just feel like Nemo would actually be a good dad. You dont go that off the deep end (literally) when you loose people if you don't have the ability to deeply love
I feel like Mira would be the darling of the ship, eager to learn every everything and everyone willing to teach her, and spoil her with everything they can possibly pull from the sea. XD
Nemo would definitely be extremely overprotective, but only about her in environments he can't control (like the surface--man he's sounding like King Triton in this xD)
But then he's that way about everyone on the Nautilus anyway when it comes down to it. He's already lost one family, and when he finally decides to keep Mira, he's going to do everything in his power not to lose this child as well.
Have you ever thought of the phrase "under the sea"? I think what we mean by that is "in the sea". Under the sea would the crust, right? Unless the sea is the barrier between the water and the air. This is not an important thing that I've decided to take time to write out, but I feel like I'm correct here...yeah?
That moment when knowing Latin helps you get the greatest pun ever!
French Maple in the Deep
The morning was still cool in the Canadian port town. Spring was beginning to bloom beneath the receding snow. The sun kept Francis from wearing extra layer as he made his way to the docks. He enlisted to partake in an maiden voyage with a well known scientist of the time. Nautical travel was a light at the end of his bleak and monotonous life. He joined the other men and woman on the dock. He found it refreshing to know that women were to participate in the scientific exhibition. Observing the crew he placed his bag at his feet to readjust his hair. His eyes scoped-out a few people of interest before an Indian man ordered the unit to stand in a line. Francis fell in place just as everyone else had as the man talked about the primary objective of the trip. Francis stood in between two men. The man on his left towered over him and was large in structure. The man to his right was much more meek and petite. He was one of the individuals that raised an interest in the Frenchman. From the speech that was given he obtained the following information: the Indian man was Captain Nemo, That the journey is mostly for knowledge, then came Adventure. They would be traveling in a vehicle that Nemo himself constructed and were assured it was safest way. The captain smiled as he reviled a solid gold, submerged, mechanical castle he called a submarine. The crew gasped as the size of the new technology as they filed into the hatch. This gave Francis the ability to talk to the petite gentleman that was once on his right, "This place is Amazing," was what he said after touching his shoulder.
