I have gone through this exact same crisis, down to the “focus more on psychology” bit and the screen writing bit and all of this. So, I can sympathize

if you only have the means for it, follow your dreams bb :) you have only one go at life, so do whatever makes you happy :D
Thanks, both of you. I'd have to be insane to think writing would be easy, but right now I can't imagine being happy if it meant leaving it behind. I've let people dictate what I do and I've given passions up, like drawing and violin playing. But when it comes to writing, I draw the line. Even when the people around me berate me for it. I'm a bit stressed right now, I'll admit. I want to vent and I want to get rid of all these little blips of discouragement. But it means the world to me that people empathize and support me. Even the kindness I get from the people who read my stuff here on tumblr. I literally don't know if I'd be writing the way I do if it weren't for the support I've gotten from friends and fandom on tumblr.
