It’s late and she knows she shouldn’t be awake right now. And she definitely shouldn’t be thinking about sending a certain someone a message or ten. But he’s been stuck on her mind since they met and even after a few months of dating, that hasn’t changed. If only the two could meet up more often.
Instead of texting him - she blamed it on her cold fingers, but she actually didn’t know what to write - she decided on sending him voice notes. Maybe it was easier to speak out loud. All she did was miss him lots, really.

“Changkyun-ah.. You’re sleeping, right? I hope you have your phone on silent. Ah.. What do I even want to say? I guess I just.. Wah, when did this get difficult?” A soft laugh escaped, her eyes forming crescent moons for the eyes of no one.
[02:47:32]
“I’m really tired. It’s…” A short silence followed, she was taking a peek at the clock, slowly ticking away. “Almost three in the morning. Ah, you’re keeping me awake!” Another laugh.
[03:02:45]
“Oh, Changkyun, it’s three already. I dozed off a little.” “…” “Hey. Let’s meet up soon. When you can. And our schedules let us.”
(☠) — A simper tugs upon his lips whilst the tape loops, enamoured by every detail the transmitter managed to capture. Her tones inundates him as he flutters his lids shut, reiterating her words in the form of a faint whisper; his own heart constricting against his chest. Everytime she pauses for an interlude, it was music in his ears: her voice creates music through each syllables she utters and appends in between bouts of exhales and inhales, and it was surely the best music he likes to rewind over and over again.
Though Changkyun did not reciprocate the exact amount of messages Hyojung sent him, he did reply but one:
[00:00:59]
“As I love you, noona..” “…”
“We’ll meet in our dreams. So let’s both sleep soon, haha.”
