My Digital Artifact Brief
As part of my first year Digital storytelling module at the University of Leicester, I have been tasked with producing a digital artifact. This assessed artifact will account for 50% of the 15 available module credits.
The specifications are as follows:
- The Artifact must have a clear narrative.
- Must consist of at least 20 still images and have a duration of 2-3 minutes.
- Digital imagery must be accompanied by audio narrative
- I must show an understanding of the 3 compositional elements (Photography, audio and editing) and how they work together.
For this project I will work alongside Charlotte (a fellow Media and Communications student) throughout the planning and production process. We will also be required to participate in group presentations outlining the concepts and ideas behind our project, as well as showing methods of planning e.g storyboards. In the next few weeks we will work together to generate initial ideas, which will manifest into the eventual digital artifact.
This blog will act as a retrospective medium from which I can reflect upon the success of the production process and track its weekly progression. This critical reflection will form a component of the Leicester Award for which I am partaking in.
