Part Two:
“So, what exactly happened between you and Scorpio?”
Virgo had closed the door behind him, emerald eyes now settled onto the hunch form of Gemini who sat cross-legged on the window seat again. Ivory and coal orbs glared into his reflection, a deep frown forming itself onto thin lips. Gemini looked like shit. He feels like shit. He suddenly feels like laughing about how shitty he looks and feels like.
So, he does.
Gemini lets out a loud guffaw, the sound so sharp and sudden that Virgo flinched at the pitiful laughter that his little brother was emitting. He had never heard such an anguished sound coming from Gemini - and it frankly scares him that something could have drove his little brother far enough into a corner to reduce him into this despairing, near maniacal state.
Gemini has never cried. Not since the last time when Virgo saw him, back when the both of them were still in middle school. When his little brother thought that Virgo was going to die after he got into an accident. (But that’s another story to be told another day.)
“Minnie...” Virgo whispered softly, his hand reaching out to pat Gemini on the shoulder comfortingly, only to retract his hand back to himself when his brother’s laughter reduced into uncontrollable sobs; the personified twin’s petite back faced away from Virgo in an attempt to preserve the remains of his shattered pride. He couldn’t fool Virgo with that display of subversion, but Virgo didn’t have it in him to press for answers. He’ll ask again once Gemini feels better.
With one last, hesitant glance back at Gemini’s small form faced away from him, he left his little brother to his personal woes as he closed the door behind him. The sobs were instantly muffled.
Tonight, Gemini cries alone.

While Gemini and Virgo had been busy with their (mostly one-sided) conversation, Scorpio had been throwing a mini fit in his room -- tossing and destroying whatever was within his reach into various part of his abode. His pillows were butchered and torn apart, feathers haphazardly taking up every imaginable space. Various books laid bent and crumpled, abused by the forceful slamming and vicious throws that the zodiacal sorcerer had imposed on them.
His latest victim had been the photo frame that was innocently placed on his bedside drawer. Just as he was about to smash the oak brown photo frame against the black wall, moonlight reflected directly against the glass glazing and into his peripheral vision.
He wished he hadn’t seen the picture.
An old picture of Gemini stared right at him, heterochromatic eyes bright as a lazy smile adorned his thin, pale pink lips. He was tucked into a younger version of Scorpio himself, the noirette smiling softly into the camera as stormy blue eyes were at ease for the first time in years. They seemed really happy in the picture. Content and blessed to just be in each other’s presence and embrace.
No. This is -- this is bad. Scorpio thought as the hand holding the photo frame shook wildly. His previously displaced fury twisted painfully in his guts, a few stubborn tears betraying him as he glared at the photo in burning resentment. But alas; he didn’t have the heart to break the photo. Not when it was one of the few vulnerable moments he had with his boyfriend: now ex.
The mere thought of it made his head pound.
Instead, Scorpio tucked the photo frame gently into the last drawer of his bedside table, away from his sight and away from the world -- where it shall remain an untainted, flitting memory.
“This is so unfair.”
