A soft, almost meek whisper. That doesnât sound like the Gemini he knew. The Gemini he knew had a voice that reverbrated through the room like the annoying, lecherous parasite he was. However, instead of the eternal voice of a thousand raging pixies and tower bells that usually come out of his surprisingly tiny mouth, all the tall, brooding noirette heard was how lethargic Gemini was.
Scorpio eyed the blonde through his peripheral vision, not really glancing up from the book in his hand as he observed Gemini staring blankly at the floor. âHm? Did you want something?â
That made Scorpio stare up at the twin sign from his book. The monochromatic eyed child had turned his back to the scorpion ruler and was sitting cross-legged by the window seat. Outside, the day has fallen for night to rule. No stars nor the moon had blanketed the sky, leaving the night cold and alone. Grey clouds hung about the empty plane instead. The silence around them seemed to thicken as seconds went by without a word, until the only thing that surrounded the dimly lit room was a heavy tension. Doesnât this reflects exactly how I feel the blonde thought.
Gemini sigh softly through his nose, breaking the silence. Well, itâs now or never.âLetâs break up.â
A pregnant pause. âWhat?â The noirette mumbled. He must be hearing things. The book, now long forgotten on the floor, had been pushed aside as the noirette had his full attention on the smaller boyâs back. Scorpioâs mind whirred, the words not yet processed into the dark depth of his cerebrum. âI didnât think I heard you right.â
Gemini shut his eyes, his head hung low as hot tears threathened to spill. He swallowed harshly, twisting his fingers as he refuses to gaze at the noiretteâs reflection in the glass. Thank goodness he had his back to Scorpio. âIâm getting tired, Scorp,â Please, ask me why, âI donât think I have feelings for you anymore.â Lies. I love you so much, it hurts.
âSo can you please, get out of my room?â
Things went by pretty much a blur after that. Gemini had led the still stunned scorpion out of the room as the blonde shut the door behind him gently. Scorpio now stared at the closed door for quite a period of time, stormy blue eyes hazy with confusion. Only after a few moments of thinking did he realise:
At first, all he felt was perplexed. Questions ran through his head, like why did they break up? Did he do something wrong? Is this another one of Geminiâs elaborated pranks to get back at him? Nothing really make any sense at all.
Perplex made way for raw, hot burning anger and a hollow sadness that clawed at his chest, making it beat wildly as anguished bled into his veins. All he could hear was the rapid rush of his blood and the rage in his head. What the fuck was that? Did he just dumped Scorpio without an explanation?
He raised a tightly balled fist, prepared to knock on the door and demand for an explanation when a freckled hand grabbed at his wrist and halted his hand mid-air. The noirette whipped his head to the side, wondering who the hell dared to mess with him. Stormy blue eyes met cold, calculated green as Scorpio found himself staring intensely at the older Mercurial sibling.
âI suggest you do not discommode my younger brother, or you will have to deal with my wrath, Sorcerer,â Virgo informed disdainfully, the grip on Scorpioâs wrist tightening to emphasise that he meant the threat. There was another round of staring as Virgo observed Scorpioâs lips pressing into a thin line and how his stormy blue eyes glowed intensely with undeniable fury. The brunette could guess as much how much the scorpion wanted to bash something, even if it meant rearranging Virgoâs face.
The noirette growled as he yanked his hand back from the brunette, causing Virgo to stumble back a little in surprise. He braced himself, already prepared for Scorpio to start lashing out at him, but all the scorpion ruler did was flipped him off and shove him out of the way. He watched as the noirette stomped down the hall and into his room, slamming the door behind him.
Virgo sighed, mostly from relief than anything else. Scorpio doesnât get mad easily, but when he does, it will be a violent hurricane that will wipe out anything at sea and cannot be calmed until all intruders on the water surface perished under its crushing waves.
And he rather not be at the other end of receiving that fury.
A few minutes prior to his interaction with Scorpio, Gemini had texted Virgo. At that time, the older Mercurial sibling was just about to return from work when he got a text from his younger brother, saying Itâs over. Worried like the good brother he was, Virgo had rushed home to find Scorpio outside the door of Geminiâs bedroom. The rest all played out later.
âGemini, itâs me, Virgo. Open the door,â said the disciple, his tone hushed.
The door clicked open and Virgo stepped in.
