A hearty and delicious sandwich featuring thinly sliced beef, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and melted provolone cheese, all packed into a toasted hoagie roll.
Ingredients: 4 beef steaks such as ribeye or sirloin, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced. Salt and pepper, to taste. 4 slices provolone cheese. 4 hoagie rolls, sliced open.
Instructions: Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Put mushrooms and onions that have been thinly sliced into the pan. For about 10 minutes, cook until soft and caramelized. Take it out of the pan and set it aside. Place the beef steaks on a cutting board and season them with salt and pepper. Put the beef slices in the same pan and cook for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are browned and done the way you like them. Cook the beef and put it on each hoagie roll. Then, add the mushrooms and onions that have been caramelized. On top of each sandwich, put a slice of provolone cheese. You can put the sandwiches under the broiler for one minute, or until the cheese melts and bubbles. Enjoy while hot!
