One of my Christmas presents was a copy of Making Pasta by Marc Vetri, and frankly I’ve been dying to dive into it and this weekend felt like the perfect one in which to do so.
We started with garagnelli alla carbornara, and I bought a gnocchi/garagnelli rolling board off of Amazon to make it a little easier, though OF COURSE the mail was late in arriving today and said board didn’t show up until 5:45 tonight. Even with that, we got all of the pasta rolled out relatively quickly and this little plate of heaven was in our faces by 7:00.
It’s not perfect, but I learned a lot and I can’t wait to make it again.
