DON'T

IT IS 100000% TRASH AND HERE IS JUST A FEW REASONS WHY: 

1. the editors erased tomoyo's crush on sakura 2. there was barely even a translation. i mean it's like they muted the audio and then wrote down what they could possibly be saying. it's pathetic 3. "seh-KOOO-ruh" or "se-CURE-uh" instead of Sakura 4. they shortened scenes that were plot-crucial 5. why the fuck would you take out sakura being all cute and happy about the penguins. why would you do that. "Pengiisaaaan~!" 6. ALL OF THE MUSIC WAS REPLACED, 100% OF IT, EVEN THE OPENING AND ENDING THEMES, WHICH WE ALL SHOULD KNOW BY NOW IS NOT OK 7. they don't sound like 4th graders. they sound like middle schoolers with toilet paper stuck up their nose trying to be "kuh-why". 8. they also shortened the name to just "cardcaptors". NO. IT'S ABOUT SAKURA SHE IS THE MAIN CHARACTER ITS NOT LIKE YOU HAD TO EVEN TRANSLATE IT YOU DUMBASSES 9. all of the background music they replaced? now it sounds more like the background music for the magic school bus. NOT. OK. 10. they changed a bunch of the japanese text to english, as in, a sign that says "hospital" in Japanese would then read "hospital" in english. why??? why???????

Also, the first time I read the manga(the second series manga 'Carcaptor Sakura: Master of the Clow', which is the one the second season of the anime is based on) the relationship between Toya/Tori and Yukito/Julian nearly slipped past me. I had to stop and read read a few parts before it sank in and then my reaction was something along the lines of 'but, that was never in the anime' and some bafflement.

It took a bit for my younger(like, 13 year old) mind to comprehend, that yes, these two guys are in a fact a couple(or well, in love with each other). I honestly think it surprised me because I had never come across this sort of thing before and wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. I eventually just sorta, rolled with it I think. I certainly wouldn't bat an eye at it now.

But they are seriously such cuties >3< And rereading it now, oh god it's not even subtle the hits about how they feel about one another.

I mean, through the first three books Toya keeps trying to tell Yukito that he knows he's not actually human(Yukito is Yue's human form). But without context, pretty much any of those panels would look like attempts to say something totally different. I mean, here's an excerpt right from book 2-

(scene-Yukito's leaning back against a tree, Toya has a forearm resting above Yukito's head on the tree)

Toya: There's something I've been meaning to tell you for a long time Yuki...but stuff kept getting in the way. You think I may not know, in fact you may not even know yourself...but I don't want to lose you.

Yukito: L-lose me? How?

Toya: Just listen to me. You know, Yuki..I always-

(insert interruption here)

Yeah, try and tell me that doesn't look like he's going to confess feelings to him.

Oh, did I forget to mention that he calls him 'Yuki' instead of Yukito? Yeah, there's that too. And he's the only one.

And this almost parallels to Sayoran's attempts to confess to Sakura-both Sayoran and Toya are trying to tell another person something. Each time they try something/someone interrupts them.

Yue even states that Toya is 'special to Yukito' and that 'Yukito chose Sakura's brother as his own'.

And then of course we get a really cute and dorky scene with them near the end of the series at Sakura's place. Yukito notices Sakura's still up and say he's going to make her something to eat because she's probably still hungry. Toya says he's coming to and we're treated to this set of lines-

Yukito: Oh, you want to make something to?

Toya: I didn't say that.

Yukito (one arm on Toya's shoulder and with a dopey grin): You really are shy, Toya.

And he just blushes.

I'm not even sure which one's the bigger dork here.
