#20: SURRENDER Sign: Gemini Gift: Self-Assurance Shadow: Superficiality
Gift: Self-Assurance When you allow life and its answers to move elegantly through you, the shackles of forcefulness and unrelenting determination fall away. You realize that the larger framework of oneness supports you, and you connect more fully with divine timing and your inner knowing. You are right on time and answers flow to you when the opportunity strikes. Your attunement to the present moment and its many offerings assures a sense of ease and confidence.
Shadow: Superficiality The shadow and the gift are distinguished by the energy and intention of your actions. The lower frequencies bring about busyness for the sake of doing and occupying time rather than from a place of presence and expansion. Superficiality within this mode of existence means identifying completely with the mind, time, and a surface- level understanding of this life. You may be everywhere and nowhere at all.
Themes: allowing + receiving + timing + intention

UPRIGHT: serenity, wiseness, acceptance
REVERSED: disruption, disappointment, immaturity
THE STORY: The card depicts a happy ending of sorts – the hero learns to live with the flames, and with the inevitable passage of time, while finding happiness in the memories of their life. It’s a vision of what the other side of ”and they lived happily ever after” looks like, and reprises the display of characters in the Immortality card.
