How do cards with directly conflicting rules text interact? Like if you have Venser's Journal and Midnight Oil out at the same time

Here are the three golden rules of card interaction:

If a card contradicts the rules, the card wins.

If one card says something can’t happen and another card wants that thing to happen, that thing can’t happen. Can’t beats can.

Except for can’t vs can situations, the card/effect that’s more recently played wins when two cards contradict each other.

These two like each other. 'Garna, Bloodfist of Keld' is good is you don't want your deck filled with 'Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin'. Or, like me, you don't have four of the demon. Bloodfist likes when creatures you control die. If they died while attacking, you draw a card. If they died any other way, Garna deals 1 damage each opponent and Ob Nixilis likes that.

Worship vs Skullcrack

Skullcrack can’t kill you when you have Worship and a creature in play. Skullcrack says “damage can’t be prevented,” but Worship doesn’t “prevent damage.” Instead, it prevents “loss of life due to damage.” So, Skullcrack still hits you, you still “take three damage,” but that damage won’t reduce your life total to less than one. Don’t concede to Skullcrack!
