2. Your favorite character that someone else has played.
I mean I genuinely like all the other party members in our campaign - @comeneth‘s no-nonsense monk who has negative chill in combat, our paladin/sorcerer who’s very friend-shaped and good for shenanigans, and our druid who is pretty much The Fool in tarot personified. I’d feel bad trying to pick a favorite out of those three!
Outside of our campaign, one of our players has a character concept of a lizardfolk character who’s trying to convince everyone he’s a dragonborn, and the way he explained it was so funny that I kind of have to pick that for sheer comedy value.
12. Your in game inside jokes/memes/catchphrases and where they came from.
Our monk, otherwise a pretty serious and no-nonsense woman dedicated to Ioun, has kind of a Thing with killing monsters with their own body parts or items. She stabbed a kruthik with a leg from another kruthik once during That Big Kruthik Fight, and now several towns later she has a staff made from those same kruthik legs. We call it The Staff of Legs.
Our paladin/sorcerer is a wild magic sorcerer and one time he turned into a potted plant and we have yet to let him forget this. The same character had to fade to black with a hotel bellhop One Time and all of us but mostly our monk have yet to let him forget this.
Pretty much anything that comes out of the mouth of our blue drake mascot. He’s like a fortune cookie - full of an endless supply of ominous bullshit!
My sorcerer Lyn is notoriously cagey and has agreed to be more honest, especially with our paladin, but I as a player keep forgetting he doesn’t know things so I’ll like dive into the water with my Cloak of the Manta Ray I forgot to mention and the paladin’s player will HMMMM at me loudly from across the table.
THREE HOURS FOR A HOLE IN THE GROUND
18. Does your party keep any pets?
DO WE KEEP ANY PETS, YOU ASK.
At current count, we have our monk’s chaotic neutral blue drake/the party mascot, owlcat kitten siblings Derek and Joseph that ride around on our druid’s shoulders, our druid’s snake familiar Cheshire, and sometimes my sorcerer’s Hound of Ill Omen/spooky borzoi named Biscotti. So that’s like four and a half? Plus the bigger owlcat that’s the ship’s cat of the barge we’re currently on and will probably be on for a good while. Sometimes our druid likes to summon eight giant owls in the middle of fights and even if those aren’t pets the number of animal allies we have briefly skyrockets. Our paladin is the only one without any pets and this is a tragedy, we need to get him a friend immediately.
There’s a reason we’ve sort of been calling our party The Menagerie.
EDIT: @comeneth pointed out that we also have a magic goldfish in a container with no lid (it’s fine, it’s a big enough container and Magic) so that goes to show you how many pets we have if I can’t consistently remember them all lmao
