Trigger warning: Its all in good fun, nothing serious lmao.
Trigger Trigger warning: seriously, no hate please.
As a pedestrian for most of my life with little to no knowledge of being a driver or what it’s about, I feel it a personal duty to inform you of a certain struggle of the every day, walker, biker, or skater and how you can help is over come these ordeal.
Stopping in the crosswalk.
You could be in a hurry to your job and it is probably your last tardy strike before you get the pink slip but guess what?
You never know if someone by foot minus the luxury of that pretty Porsche you are driving is in the same predicament.
They could have ridden the bus as far as they could before having to set off by pure human power the rest of the way,
now imagine that tired person giving all his or her might to get to the stop light and cross before it changes, his feet are probably cramped, he probably dropped something, his shoe could be coming off, he could have a daughter who’s lagging behind or chasing after his paper work, the odds are endless, now picture this guy
getting to the cross light,
having it display the walk symbol
an enormous S.U.V is inside the lines of the crosswalk…..
I’m praying I don’t have to break this down to a science but for those of you who fail to see the issue in this, I will.
I’m 99.9 percent sure that little strip of road that creates an invisible bridge between sidewalk A and B weren’t designed to pillow the wheels of your Fing vehicle!
It was designed for people who walk, skate or bike. Yes there are people who do NOT own vehicles and reasons of why that may be is considered irrelevant in this case, its not your business,
what IS your business is being aware of roadway safety and precautions as well as applying them when you’re behind the wheel.
We learn in elementary that red means stop, yellow means slow down and green means go.
I shouldn’t hear a horn blowing at me when the light is yellow, I shouldn’t see your middle finger when the crosswalk says walk,
YES I’m talking to my turning friends, I’m aware of the turning lane and how in certain areas it is permitted to turn on red, DON’T BE A FUCKING douche bag and allow that freedom to turn you into a horn honking pedestrian bully,
if you see someone who’s obviously trying to cross the street, pulling out in front of them would be very unwise due to the fact that you could hurt them or yourself in the ordeal
now if you don’t care about either of those things, Imagine that guy with fatter wallets and a good attorney, care enough yet?
My point?
we are getting nowhere fast by being at a stop light glancing awkwardly at each other as I raise an eyebrow at the walking signal to go…
.Let us pass….please…and then go, be a little courteous and not a privileged bitch.
