careful confessions: love march 2015
To growing up and growing old together.
No matter where life takes the both us, I will forever be grateful to have had you in my life for even a moment.
Thank you for being my middle school, high school, and college sweetheart. For being my date to every school dance. For sharing your first everything moments with me and letting me share my first everything moments with you. For sharing all of these many years with me, even though you’re the ultimate catch and really didn’t have to. For caring about me during my best times, worst times, and most awkward times. For loving me even though you’ve known me at my worst. For always encouraging me to be better and better versions of myself. For being my other half and balancing me out. For always being my anchor and keeping my head straight. For loving me even though my head isn’t and probably will never be on straight.
Thank you for being my goose. Thank you for taking naps with me even though my body overheats (even though that’s just a side effect of you being so hot). Thank you for letting me borrow your clothes just because you know I creepily like the way you smell even though you know I’ll probably shrink them. Thank you for staying with me even though you know that if we ever got married and hyphenated our names, we’d be the Nguyen-Luu(s). Thank you for still taking me out to eat dinner even though I embarrassingly eat massive amounts of food and then proceed to pass out on the table while eating dessert. Thank you for always picking me up even though we’re just going back to your house, opening doors for me, and being the ultimate Mr. Romance.
And thank you for letting me into your life enough to get to know YOU and all of your hopes, dreams, fears, flaws, cheesy jokes and more.
Thank you for showing me what it means to love.
I am beyond grateful to have grown up with you and I hope to grow old with you too. Love you, always.
