- A (British white male) film blogger saying that Cargo's references to colonisation and destruction of the environment is 'irrelevant politics'...in a film prominently featuring indigenous Australians and their culture (https://twitter.com/euanfranklin/status/997600946627710979?s=19)

-A lady 'campaigning' for more older women in films (and has celeb backing from a few actors inc Amanda A and Michael Sheen idek) critiquing Cargo for bias against older women (https://twitter.com/MrsNickyClark/status/997009402866487298?s=19)

Um yeah...so Cargo...what a FUCKING. HELLRIDE. of a film OMG. Simply amazing and beautiful and heart wrenching and Martin's damn brilliant in it and...just a whole lot of feels rn 😱😰😭

In response to your reply @thistie about writing a Cargo review myself, my plans were to keep more detailed talk about the film private because spoilers and it being hard to explain stuff which most haven't seen, but I'll open up the floor--if anyone wants me to write up a full-on spoilery review of Cargo, just give this post a like. Maybe with 5 or more pple interested, I'll give it my best shot 👍

Just seeing some wtf gifs again, and the part where Iain's chilling with Kim, being able to see Martin's body outlined through his white tee? Yeah, that happens so awesomely in Cargo too, at a most inappropriate moment to be thinking such thoughts too 😩

Speaking randomly of delightful things, can't wait until tomorrow and the day trip to Sydney 🤗🤗🤗 Going to check out a Sherlock Holmes exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum first, and then onto the Screenjunkies festival with Cargo peeps and Bojack sessions. They apparently even have a cat cafe, which I'm curious to check out 😎

Ah well, I found that Cargo Q&A thing and it's in Sydney, so I've booked ticket for the session and I'm off. Plus there's a keynote talk from the guy who created Bojack Horseman I've booked as well, so bonus win there 👍👍👌👌 Will try to find out info about Cargo as best I can, but I'm wondering as well whether they're having the Q&A session because a trailer's going to be out shortly? Let's hope and cross fingers.

Seeing some Twitter scuttlebutt on a release timeframe for Cargo...and not really impressed with that mf fan twitter account tbh--can't just straight up provide their source, like what *plausible* news outlets do, you know 🙄
