when i tell you i nearly threw up right there in the movie theater AUGHHHHHH

sneaking around with jonathan byers. its difficult to do so when his family lives in the basement of the wheelers after coming back to hawkins. but you try to make do when he’s able to get you inside the house.

most of the time it’s not even about the physical things you both missed out on with the byers’ stint to california. it’s the conversations. the light smiles and the breathy laughs. the post-punk ramblings and the hawkins gossip that happened before the town split in two. you told him about tammy thompson coming back to sing the national anthem in the spring and did your best impression. safe to say you had to hide under a blanket when he chuckled too loud and you thought you heard will stir.

but yes the physicalities are important too. it’s sneaking you off to the bathroom and him propping you up against the sink as he slides a hand up your shirt and you getting under the waistband of his flannel pants. a hand against your cheek and deep groans being swallowed by the others mouth. making up for time lost despite the needed wariness of what’s gonna come next when it comes to the fate of hawkins. but for now you both deem it okay to worry about one another and the state of his lips trailing further down the expanse of your neck.
