Pieces of Place: communications

Taking time to really look at things and from different angles can lead to some amazing discoveries.  I spend a lot of time close to the ground, in the dirt and sorting through piles of ancient debris in Amos     Crystals have surfaced, an esoteric seashell revealed itself after many years slumbering in the dark and recently a porcupine quill appeared underfoot as I traveled through the forest in transit to the ancient settlement. These objects of nature I consider great treasures and perhaps a means of the ancients attempting to communicate or messages from Lodos, the warm wind of the south.

Along the Carian Sea Trail🌿

The Carian Trail between Bozburun and Sogut in Turkey in early October, when walking is bearable under a milder sun. In the foreground, one of the ubiquitous asphodels, a feature of this landscape at this time of year. Impossible to see in this photo, but in the furthest bay there was a light Turkish Navy warship lying at anchor - the Greek island of Simi is just 14 miles away to the right of the picture and I know refugees have tried to get across to it. 

The Carian Trail is hundred of kilometers long, around the SW coast of Turkey and must be one of the toughest, non-mountain, walking routes in Europe. This particular stretch is a good, not too challenging walk for half a day. We did not meet a soul.
