Lesson on Punk Rocking a Car: What you're looking at here is an ignition switch with an engine immobilizer off an early 2000's vehicle. The tumbler (cylinder that you turn the key in) wore out and would not turn at all, the dealer wanted over $1000 to replace the whole switch, but I found the tumbler (with key) online for $15. After 2001, most car manufacturers started placing these engine immobilizers on their vehicles and corresponding transponder chips in the keys as what they call an "anti-theft" feature. Now, normies would take the new key to the dealer or a locksmith to have it programmed to the original transponder. What car manufacturers don't want you to know is that you can simply break apart the old key (without damaging the chip) and mount the transponder to your ignition switch and presto- you just fucked the system! This probably sounds like Greek to most folks, but that's how you punk rock a car and if you need help with an ignition switch that just won't turn, hit me up and I can direct you to the resources I used! #hack #carhack #gearhead #cartalk #fuckthesystem #punkrockcar #youtubeuniversity #carlesson #cardealerssuck #capitalismkills #makemusicnotmurder #dineromuerto (at Memphis, Tennessee)
