Finally

"Carl?" Rick slowly opens the door and is greeted by the sight of his sleeping son. His arms over his eyes and snoring filled the room. Rick goes over slowly and he fly wakes up his son, Carl looks up at him now a bit grumpy,

"Ready to meet Aphrodite?" Carl perks up at the questions and gets up immediately

"Finally!" He runs out of his room and down the steps. He's greeted by Michonne who wears a soft smile. Rick catches up to Carl

"Good luck Carl" Carl nods a thanks to his mother figure and the father and son duo leave the house. As the duo walk to the Rhee residents a memory flashes through Carl's mind, he was a kid when it happened:

   "Hey Dad?"

   "Yes Carl?"

   "What's a soulmate?"

   "Well a soulmate is like a bestfriend but more. It's the one person in the world that knows you better then anyone else. It's someone who makes you a better person. Actually, they don't make you a better person, you do that yourself, because they inspire you. A soulmate is someone who you carry with you forever. It's the one person who knew you, and accepted you and believed in you before anyone else did. Or when no one else would, and no matter what happens, you'll always love them. Nothing can ever change that."

    The memory causes a small smile to appear on Carl's face, it's barely there but noticeable. They walk in a normal pace, that seems WAY to slow for Carl at the moment, and they make it to the Rhee household in 5 minutes. The first thing they see is the beautiful girl sitting in a rocking chair reading. A familiar flannel catching Carl's eye,

"Is that..."

"Aphrodite!" Rick calls out to her but she doesn't move. Maggie comes outside and kneels next to the young girl, she then smiles a bit seeing the girl asleep. Maggie stands and looks at the confused father and son pair,

"She's asleep, girl loves her naps" Carl goes over and Rick follows. He kneels in front of his soulmate and looks at her face, he can see that her eye is missing, much like his, and how beautiful she is.

"Let's get her inside" Maggie whispers and the two nod, Carl moves the book and hands it to Maggie. He then adjusts himself and picks up the young girl bridal style, Dite nuzzles her head into his shoulder. The small group goes inside and is greeted by Glenn. He smiles seeing his niece asleep but his smile drops seeing Carl carrying her in,

  "Watch your hands." Carl smirks then puts Dite down on the couch as Maggie puts down some pillows and a blanket over the young girl. Carl kneels beside her and watches her sleep, not so creepily, and he decides if he should wake her or not. The young man gently reaches out and lifts up her left wrist, where the soul mark lays, and sees a matching mark to his. His heart gets giddy as his eye locks on the mark, he gently rubs her mark with his thumb which causes her to stir from the amazing feeling she got. Her eye slowly opens and matches with Carl's, her eye widens and she sits up quickly

  "You..."

  "Hi" Carl smiles big, his child like smile showing once more at the sight of his soulmate looking him over. Dite gently reaches out and cups his cheek in her hand making him lean into her palm, the adults watching from afar. Both of the teens forget that they're there, the attention on each other,

  "I'm Aphrodite"

  "I'm Carl" they smile at each other.

Before

Aphrodite wakes up to a yummy smell filling the house. She turns her head towards the door and her face contorts into a confused expression as she slowly remembers the following day. She smiles at the thought and sits up with a small wince. She looks around, now that the sun is flooding her room with light, she can see everyone better. Her eye scans the room, it was very cozy. She sees her bag is now next to the door, Glenn or Maggie must of brought it up earlier. She gets out of bed and picks up her bag. She puts it on her bed and takes out the dresses that resided in the bag. She lays them out and looks at them to decide which to put on. She takes off the flannel, deciding to wear it as well, and puts it with the dresses. The light blue of the flannel shirt goes with the white sundress she has. She decides to change into that.

She hangs up the other 3 dresses she stuffed into her bag before putting the flannel back on. She takes out the bow in her hair and untangles her hair with her fingers before putting her hair up into a ponytail with the bow and fixes her bangs to try and hide her missing eye. She leaves her room finally but first grabs her favorite book to read in the living room or while sitting outside, and goes downstairs. She's greeted by Glenn and Maggie hugging in the kitchen with pancakes behind them. She enters the kitchen and watches him with a smile hoping she and Carl can be like that one day.

Glenn sees her and he straightens up

"Oh my" that gets Maggie's attention, she picks her head up and turns to see Aphrodite. She pulls away from Glenn and goes to Dite

"You look so pretty! Carl will faint!"

"Let's hope not"

"You look beautiful bear" Glenn smiles at his niece who smiles back,

"Thank you two" Maggie turns and grabs a plate with 3 pancakes on it,

"Here ya go sweetie" Glenn grabs two other plates with the same amount of food and they go to the dining table to eat as a family. They eat in a comfortable silence until Maggie breaks it once everyone is done,

"Are you ready for today?"

"Not really... What if he doesn't even come?"

"Sweetie, you heard what Rick said last night. That boy has been waiting since birth to meet you" Maggie smiles at her

"He'd be dumb to not come and see you, I'm amazed he hasn't forced Rick to come sooner" Glenn chirps in.

"No Carl, I told them 12."

"But now is so much better"

"How so?"

"I get to meet her now!"

"Carl. It's 7 am."

"So?"

".... Go to your room... Please"

"Dad! I just want to meet my soulmate!"

"I get that Carl, but going 5 hours to early is one thing."

"....but I want to meet her now.."

"I get that, but you have to wait, what if she's getting all pretty for you?"

"She'd look pretty in bed head"

"... You don't know that"

"I do"

"How do you know that?"

"If she looks like my dream then she will"

"Carl..."

"Yes?"

"Please go away..." Carl let's out a loud groan and walks away from his father, who he woke up, to go to Glenn's early. He's been up since the sun rose and already showered and ready to go. Michonne let's out a small laugh from beside Rick and snuggles up to go back to sleep. Rick tries to do the same but can't due to Carl's loud stomping

"When I mentioned to her that she could bring back the old Carl, I didn't mean 5 year old Carl" Michonne let's out another small laugh and shushes him.

"Very true" Maggie pitches in. The small family laughs softly. Once they all finish their food, Aphrodite gathers the plates and bring them into the kitchen to be cleaned. Glenn waves her away

"I'll clean, you go relax. I can feel your nerves from here." The younger nods, she grabs her book from the counter and goes outside. She sits on the rocking chair on the deck. She opens her book and starts from the beginning, she brings her legs up and tuck them under her.

"CARL! You can't just leave and show up!" Rick scolds his son

"Why not?"

"...it is now 8 am. 4 more hours" Carl groans and goes to his room. He opens a comic book and tries to focus on it but can't. His mind keeps drifting to the unknown beauty residing in a house only a few away from his own. His groans and tries to sleep. He throws the comic next to him and covers his eyes with his arms. The lack of sleep got to him, after barely sleeping through the night.
