“You asleep?” / “You’re not in bed. I came looking for you.” (jackie/hyde)
❝ YOU ASLEEP? ❞
“Yes, Jackie.” Hyde mumbled his words against his pillow, attempting to block out the annoying voice that had interrupted his peaceful nap. For a midget, she was loud. “If you’re here to talk to me about some sale at the mall I can’t be held responsible for my actions.” His warning came only after realizing he should say something before she got the idea that he was open for conversation. He was not. Not with her. “Run along, leprechaun.”
❝ YOU’RE NOT IN BED, I CAME LOOKING FOR YOU ❞
Hyde had recognized the steps coming down the basement before he even saw her by the weight of her steps, light yet determined and on a mission. Said mission was, apparently, finding Kelso. Were they together again? You could never tell with those two. Even from the corner of his eyes, Hyde could tell she was staring daggers at him, Kelso seemingly unaware he had done something wrong— something crime worthy in Jackie Burkhart’s eyes.
“Funny. Laurie just said the same thing.” Hyde smirked to himself from his seat as Kelso shouted a very loud ‘DUDE! NOT COOL’, a bewildered and tongue-tied look on his face. Though, that may have just been the default. “Well.” Hyde sighed in satisfaction and let himself sink further into his chair. “My good deed for the year is now complete.”
