Please watch out for this Tumblr scam </3
I know it’s not new, but I thought I’d make a post on it!
If a user says they reported you and asks you to send a friend request to a guy named “elituckertumblrr” or “Xavier Lozano Carreras” on Discord, it means they got hacked! Please don’t message either of them, it’s a fake account </3
Or any variation of “____ Tucker”!
Apparently there’s also a “Carl Tucker” out there as well?
Personally, I’d try to find other accounts of theirs that aren’t on Tumblr if you’re able to, and let them know they were hacked. But if they already know, and are taking steps to deal with it, then it’d be best to move on.
BUT if you do message Eli Tucker on Discord, he’ll ask for your username, DOB, and country. Then he’ll ask for you to change your email to some Outlook email. DO NOT DO IT. That’s how they can get access to your account.
For next steps, Tumblr suggests you to report the account who messaged you for “spam”.
