Love (Carmella x Reader)
“Thanks for coming up here with me,” Carmella told you as she parked her car. Road trips had been one of your favorite parts of the year, but once you’d joined WWE, you didn’t get enough time to really do a good one. So, when Carmella asked if you’d ride up to Boston with her from Florida, you agreed.
Carmella was, undoubtedly, your best friend. The two of you had been friends for years and it was only recently that you got to be allies on screen. Despite your very hardcore persona, you were a soft and gentle person. There had been many times that Carmella had been the one to defend someone to you or had been the one to lead in with the confrontation.
“Of course, I’m really glad that you asked me to come with you. I’ve been needing a long drive.” You followed her out of the car and into the hotel lobby. Carmella got your cards and you carried your bags up to the room. “Damn, you didn’t hold back.”
“We both deserve some rest and relaxation,” Carmella said as she pushed the door open.
“I thought New York was our rest and relaxation,” you told her. Carmella shook her head and pulled you into the room. You set your bags on the table and then booked it towards the bed. Carmella laughed at you and followed suit, landing right next to you. “You’re not hogging the blankets again are you?”
“I’ll try not to, I promise.” You took Carmella at her word and closed your eyes for a nap. After your nap, you woke up to see dinner sitting in your room already. You went over to join Carmella at the table. “Wine?”
“No thanks,” you refused politely. Carmella filled you in on your plans for your weekend in Boston before the two of you would have to book it back to Florida. You were leaving on Monday morning so that you could make a special appearance on NXT to reply to a challenge issued by Candice Lerae.
“I had fun tonight, over dinner. It was quiet and nice,” Carmella said as she laid with her head on your shoulder.
“It was. We don’t do a lot of stuff like that anymore.” You laced your fingers together and she seemed to relax a bit. Sometimes, Carmella would tense up and not even know it, but you always noticed it. Especially whenever she was so close to you. “But we should.”
“It’s couple stuff, you know?” Carmella asked you. You nodded and gave her a small smile.
“We’ve always done couple stuff though,” you pointed out. You went on really romantic dinner dates, had given each other massages on multiple times, and both of you were just really affectionate with each other. “I’m practically your girlfriend Mella.”
“Then just be my girlfriend because I already love you,” Carmella said and you paused for a moment. “You being my girlfriend makes sense, even if I’ve never had a girlfriend before.”
“You love me?” you asked and Carmella nodded. “Cool, that’s, um, surprising.”
“Not really,” Carmella told you. “It really isn’t.”
