My roots knot really well without me doing anything to them but they tend to knot kinda flat for the first inch or so. in your opinion, should i be concerned about them staying flat or is it just a root thing? (i have square sections) thanks! :)

My roots dread themselves pretty well too, and I also noticed that most of them are knotting up flat like yours. 

I think this is just a root thing, because in leaving mine alone, I’ve noticed as they grow out and have more room, the roots twist around and as they dread they round themselves out. I’ve had a few that I roll between my fingers while they are wet to help encourage them to round out, and it has helped.
