This here is a wasp in the genus Philanthus, commonly called bee wolves because most species in this genus capture bees and feed them to their carnivorous larvae.

The adult wasps prefer a less meaty diet. They eat nectar. The name of the genus, in fact, comes from the Greek φιλεω (“I love”) and άνθος (“a flower”).
