what's carol's family like?

WAAAH A CAROL ASK! My heart is full cab, thank you 💕

Okay so Carol is an only child and lives with her mom, Anne Quakers! Her mom is a sweet, and incredibly hard-working, Carol and Anne have a very close relationship. However, She never got to meet her dad (there’s some lore there that I still haven’t completely figured out) but all she knows is that he was a great guy but sadly passed away from she could hatch, so it’s only been her and her mom for the longest time. Her mom also owns her very own restaurant, the Quaker Barrel! Carol has been helping her mom run the restaurant for as long as she could remember, the restaurant practically her second home. All in all its a very small family unit, but they’re incredibly close!

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the bit about the town being Waterloo? feel like a dumbass

Phyllis Nagy, who wrote the Carol screenplay, said:“ As in the book, the name alludes to a great test, usually ending in a decisive outcome of some sort (i.e., Battle of Waterloo). Given what had happened the night before she found it funny they should be at "Waterloo”. “

and therefore the joke T: What town is this again? C: This? Waterloo. Isn’t that awful? or the book version:“‘What town is this?’ she asked. Carol laughed. ‘This? This is Waterloo.’ She reached for a cigarette. ‘Isn’t that awful?” Smiling Therese raised up on her elbow. Carol put a cigarette between her lips. “There’s a couple of Waterloos in every state,’ Therese said.”

The scene in Carol where Therese is sitting in the break room and a woman walks by her, is she checking her out?

Ohh this is a great question! I wouldn’t say Therese is checking her out in a “sexual” way. It’s just one of those moments when you’re randomly looking in one direction and someone accidentally catches your eye but it doesn’t really mean anything :)

Thank you so much for your blog. Okay, my first request is a gif set or pic set of Carol peeking out the shower and Therese giving her the blue sweater. Someone says something about being hungry, and I just can't 😋 Second, what you think about the parallels between their age difference and the custody battle? I think Carol really loves Therese, but there is a kinda mother-daughter kink running alongside, no?

hello I'd like to ask a question regarding Carol (movie version). this might or might not has something to do with cultural differences but up until now i still don't understand why Therese had to say "oh no it's nothing like that" after she said Richard would like to live with her. sorry for the bad english and i hope this question doesn't come off too stupid 😆 thanks in advance!

I also never actually knew why she said that. I guess it was unacceptable and weird at that time for a man and a woman to live together if they’re not married or related.

This is a funny way of thinking but if Carol had left the gloves on purpose, she wouldn’t have been so surprised that it was indeed Therese who returned them rather than “the man in the ski department”Thank you so much darling, I hope you have a wonderful day as well!❤️

I just finished price of salt. Why doesn't therese want to live with carol

when carol offers it to her, she is still hurt.. she’s also afraid that bad things (carol leaving) would happen again.. she’s trying to convince herself that she can live without carolbut in the end, she changes her mind and accepts carols offer🙃
