terrible realization chat
I was made aware by my amazing, super intelligent, mastermind-esque enlightened friend that Sans has a little star next to his dialogue and not an asterisk like everyone else, now, I may be extremely dumb, blind and possibly live under a rock but never in my entire playthroughs since chapter 2 came out have EVER noticed that💔
this added to the fact that him owning GRILLBY'S and renaming it to 'Sans makes absolutely no sense since Grillby's probably never existed in hometown (as where would Grillby himself be now?? dead??? idk anymore) it would imply that sand doesn't come from deltarune either, backed by his dialogue in undertale where he says "getting to the surface doesn't really appeal anymore, either"
BUT WHAT IF
i propose to you all, Dephtsans Theory
Both me and said amazing Friend thought that he too has the knowledge of deltarune being a game like ralsei, and (it's theorized) gaster and the whole bunker groupchat do, so what if he DOES come from the depths??
I'm going crazy right now, I actually have no evidence this is true other than him and Papyrus appeared out of nowhere both in Deltarune and Undertale, so maybe they too are scattered through time and space but im a more "stable" way?
and also what the hell is up with Ice-e's and it too being present in both games and being related to sans and papyrus???? I cant make sense of anything anymore I'm so lost
anyways this is nowhere near to being a fully fleshed out theory like i would prefer to post but I've decided to put this out there either way in hope of going back to it and making it Better (and maybe gather some evidence)
