Blood ran down the corners of her parted lips, eyes black with unsatisfied hunger as her hands let go of the limp body she was feeding from. "Are you done?" Lexi sauntered over to the other blonde, thumb swiftly wiping away at her stained lips.
"Because I saw a few delicious looking men across the street at that bar. Seemed like they were fun." She grinned lazily, licking away the blood from her fingers.
Things that Go Bump in the Early Morning
The forest around her was disturbingly quiet. That was the problem with forests in the US. If you listened closely you may hear rustling leaves or the occasional squirrel--but otherwise it was a quiet as death itself. Verena missed the underline hum of sound that had always been there when she lived along the Amazon. Bugs were constantly buzzing, birds made every sound from whistle to screech as they flapped boisterously through the brush, river rapids roared, waterfalls crashed, and rain could be deafening. Those were only a few examples. There was always noise in the Amazon--but it was a comforting one. Not the commotion that assaulted her ears in large cities.
Impulse had driven her to leave her sunny Amazonian home. Impulse and a constant need to move. More than five hundred years had left her with not ability to "settle down" somewhere. Besides, the idea in and of itself was a delusion. There was no "settling down", no comfy home, no little children tugging at her leg. She'd tried that already and even before it had all gone to pot, she'd sucked at it. Travel--adventure. That had never let her down. She'd yearned for it since childhood. So when a man on a boat had said, "Receba dentro Eu vou te dar uma carona." She'd jumped in without another thought.
How the hell she'd wound up in some teeny tiny town in the backwoods of Virginia wasn't all that complicated of a story. A boat, a train, a short fly (on her own wings of course), another train. Somewhere in all of her boat rides and flapping wings and distaste for large crowds, she'd found "Mystic Falls". The name had drawn her in because she thought it was funny. Now that she'd been here a while it didn't seem as amusing. The woods were too quiet, the people were strange.
Verena stuck the end of her vaporizing pen in her mouth and took a long drag; hoping that it would help take the edge off of things. This place made her nervous. Something about the whole energy here. She'd considered turning her dragon senses back on, rather than walking around hearing and seeing like any mortal, but there was a really good chance she'd be testier, which meant she was more likely to transform, which meant a lot of dead bodies and attention and a long scolding from her sister. She didn't particularly enjoy killing mass amounts of innocent people or sitting in a chair for five hours while Reta bitched her out--so she kept her senses off. Even if that made her a bit more nervous and vulnerable.
Smoke poured out of her mouth. It was so odd to see it and know that no fire would accompany the fleeting curls of silver as they floated away. She made her way out of the woods and onto the desolate streets of the town. The dragoness didn't bother with indiscretion as she took another drag and closed her eyes; plodding away down the road. It was past two AM, she wouldn't have thought she'd have to worry about seeing other people--better yet running smack dab into them.
Her body collided with someone (definitely a someone) hard. So hard that she stumbled backwards in her shock. "Fuck." She growled; more smoke escaping her lips as she spoke. Her cool grey eyes assessed her "victim" carefully. Blonde, young, shapely--actually she was absolutely gorgeous. Damn it. The pretty ones were always fragile. Ena mentally crossed her fingers and hoped the girl didn't cry, "Are you alright I was--distracted. Sorry about that."

Thank you both for the offers. I'll think of something to have Dru go your way. Although Caroline mun... I don't know how well Dru can argue at your muse since they don't know each other but I can try. Kat mun. Would asks be easier? Like an ask thread?

Ella stood there looking around, unsure of her surroundings. Shee stood by a sign that said “Welcome to Mystic Falls!” so she knew she was in the right place. But now she needed to decide what to do, stay at a hotel or be comfortable and stay in the woods, though she was unsure if people did that here. She looked down at herself, she wasn’t covered in mud but she wasn’t exactly clean from her travels. And from what she had seen, her clothes were not what most people wore so she needed to get new clothes to blend in. She sighed as her head started to throb, what to do and where to start.

Caroline tilted her head to the side her smirk perfectly intact. Her golden curls perfectly curled and her make up dark. Confidence and power radiating off of her. “You werent told?” She asked, eyeing him. God, he was hot. But not who she was after. “I was invited a long time ago. I was hoping the invitation is still being offered.” She spoke confidently and thoroughly, choosing her words carefully, referring to the invitation Klaus offered her. She had finally come to New Orleans to play. Sure, he wasn’t the Original all she had hoped to run into but he’d do.
Invited? Niklaus had failed to mention they were expecting guests from Mystic Falls. It would be quite problematic, he believed, placing Hayley and Caroline beneath the same roof and if his brother expected smooth sailing then for the first time in a long time Elijah would have to accuse his brother of being naive. "As it was not I who made said invitation, I am in no position of assuring you it is still a valid proposition," he pointed out. "You will have to take this to my brother."
