The #beachboys legendary #petsounds turned 51 the other day. Usually listed as one of the greatest albums of all time, it's definitely the best beach boys album which up to that point had been singles surrounded with filler. #brianwilson composed and arranged almost all the music himself and pushed recording techniques and technology of the time to their limit. The other boys were initially reluctant to, in #mikelove's words, "fuck with the formula" but Wilson was vindicated with their biggest success and some of their best songs, including #carolineno #godonlyknows #wouldntitbenice and the hit single #goodvibrations.
