Steve got teased meticulously in middle school because he kept saying “Tommy’s my boy friend and Carol’s my girl friend.”
He didn’t realise people couldn’t hear the space between ‘boy’/‘girl’ and ‘friend’.
Carol played into it by giving him a big smooch on the cheek in front of everyone before taking her actual boyfriends hand to go home.
Tommy puckered his lips and leaned in for one too, Steve chickening out before it could land and almost falling on his ass, red in the face as Tommy cackled.
He never lives it down and quickly corrects everyone that he was not dating Carol, or Tommy.
Though now he kind of wanted too. He was gonna bury that thought deep, deeeeep down, thanks.
