The doctor tried his best to get along with the youngsters. He thought it he was pretty good at it too. He’s had over 900 years of life experience of dealing with the young ones. Kids love him! …Little kids. He wasn’t sure if older adolescents would tolerate his quirky personality as much.

What’s that on your face?❞ Before giving the young man a chance to reply, with further investigation and a quirked brow the doctor tilted his head to the left (or right, depending on perspective) to get a better look. ❝...A spade? As in a spade from a deck of cards?❞ Was this a thing that the Kids were doing now? He thought he was up and current on the trends. Guess that was wrong. If painting card symbols on your face is not a trend, than he deduced that the spade was a heck of a symbol, for SOMETHING. He kinda wanted to know more. ❝What a design, mate! And hey, I’m not knocking it. That’s really cool.❞
Hopefully he wasn’t being disrespectful or anything. The Doctor’s natural curiosity tended to get him into trouble. It wasn’t just this regeneration. As far as he could recall it spanned across all prior ten regenerations as well. It was like he heard the phrase “curiosity killed the cat” and simply kicked it to the side. Consequences be darned.
