Among the more interesting things I learned about at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History are these sea snails - Xenophoridae, or Carrier Shells - that attach foreign objects to their shells.  Apparently each species has preferred objects and positioning of the attachments.  It is tempting to say that some have a better sense of style than others.
