Heavy Weapons - [Anders, Fergus, Sebastian, Wade and Herren]
Anders returned to the estate just after dawn prepared to attempt --once again-- to plead his case for Elissa's remaining behind for the weapon's run, only to find himself pleasantly surprised that she'd already chosen to stay and contribute her efforts to reinforcing their current residence.
"Just be careful." She insisted, kissing her brusband straight on the lips and squeezing his hand as she glanced at Sebastian. "All of you."
She stopped at Anders, briefly, giving him instructions that he should check the diagram she'd given to Fergus before accepting any swords on Oren's behalf, along with a laundry list of "things she'd like to have" if the healer was able to charm the dealers into parting with them.
Anders flipped open the list, and snorted. "If we come back with all of this, make sure you thank your brother, because it will be his pretty ass that earns it."
"So long as you come back with my brother, I'll thank all of you. The rest of it is a wish list. Whether you get it or not is up to you --and them I expect." Elissa was already headed back into the estate as she spoke, not even bothering to look back over her shoulder at the man she was addressing.
He shook his head and turned back to his group for the day, sighing at her new husband. "Friendly one, your sister."
Sticks and Stones - [Full Estate/Chantry Cast + Anders]
As the second night with the Amell Estate wound to a close, Nathaniel Howe had found himself at odds with nearly everyone inside of it. The irony that the one person who would have thanked him for his actions was the one person he was actually most furious with was not lost on him as he made his way from the stairwell to the kitchen in search of the strongest coffee he could manage.
When Chuck stepped in to find, brew, and continue to supply it, Nathaniel nodded in appreciation. It seemed the man was the only person within the house who wasn’t ambivalent or actively wishing to take off his head for forcing the group to wait until morning. Sure he’d shot him in the chest with a tranquilizer dart a mere forty-eight hours prior and then dropped him face first in his girlfriend’s father’s crotch, but this was bigger than that, and somewhere he had to assume that Charles knew he was trying to keep the rest of them alive.
He stood when daylight began to seep in through the reboarded windows and thanked him for his efforts, shouldering his bow and making his way up toward the master bedroom’s closet where he’d disarmed a trap shortly after their missing leader had broken through the upstairs window to gain entry to the estate. It had been obvious that was where the pair of men living in the space had been spending their nights, so it was safe to assume that the older of the two had gone back there to sulk until morning.
Sure enough, there he was, sleeping --though if Nathaniel had to guess not for very long. He cleared his throat and kicked his boot, arms folded as he leaned against the wall in wait. “Rise and shine, Princess Pissypants. We’re burning daylight.”
Maker's Grace - [Elissa, Gamlen, Oren and Fergus]
Elissa had stopped on the bridge to the adjoining rooftop at the sound of Gamlen’s voice, but only for a moment. The longer he spoke, the more she didn’t want to hear it so she dropped down over the lip onto the gravelly tile and made her way over to the tree which she’d climbed up many hours before.
Halfway down she simply curled up in it’s branches, picking at the leaves and attempting to muffle her racing heart and mind while she waited for first light to brighten the sky, though her efforts were in vain. It seemed the only way to get the infuriating man out of her blood was to get herself as far away as she could as quickly as she could manage.
And the first step to doing that was taking care of Oriana’s body.
At first light she shimmied the rest of the way down the tree to the ground and made her way to the side door of the house whose roof she’d used to gain entry into the Amell estate. Drawing her swords she made her way in through an open window where she skewered the single, legless… could you call it a walker?... propped up against a pile of debris in the corner, then went to work toppling any unvarnished wood into a pile in the center of the room.
((Dang I've been playing Content of the Ninth Seal all day. You should play it Tea. I think you'd like it.))
Dear past me,
Dear past (High School) me,
Congratulations. You made it to your senior year. How we managed to pull that one off I'll never know. Okay well you get to live until at least three days before your 24th birthday, that's when I wrote this so if you don't intentionally get yourself killed because of reading this then you got another six years on you.
The best piece of advice is to stop going out with that girl you're seeing right now. I know you think she's great and you might have feelings for her but trust me it ends horribly. Instead of taking her out, stay after school and get better at the saxophone or pick up another instrument. That'll be worth it in the long run. She won't.
If you see those green-haired twin sophomore boys be sure to slug 'em a couple of times. But don't hurt 'em.
Mom is right. Don't listen to anything Dad has to say. Don't let Flash near the cat. And do your best in school
