get me back here rn
The real desi academia.
Your mother braiding your hair before you sleep, getting up early to study, Ruskin bond and other authors lined up on your desk, laughing and crying with your friends about boards, making memories on the way to your tuitions, the sweat on your shirt on the van ride back from school, book stores hidden in small alleys, chess, carrom, chai breaks, being fed badaam before every exam, this is desi academia.
Sari duniya se jeet ke main aaya hoon idhar Tere aage hi main haara kiya tune kya asar

going to be spending majority of today on a train. this two day trip may have been rushed, but it was a welcome change, and i look forward to returning home and attacking my tasks for the week with fresh vigour.
song of the day : gaon chorab nahi (please listen to it, it's a song protesting the forced eviction of tribal people from their land)

It feels like we have been quarantined for years!! The frustration and the boredom just doesn't go away.. 😓
Anyway, I live with my parents (who are pretty awesome people) who did the happiest thing today ... they took out our old carrom board and started playing to kill this boredom 🤗 Turned out to be a wonderful evening I spent with them... At some point, I prayed to God that may this joyful feeling never end ❤
Moving on to other things, I am a bit upset about my hair frizzes and loss of hair texture which has increased even though I just had a haircut at home two days back! Wanna have a superb parlour hair care soon..
Chicken lollipops made by my dearest elder sister ( coolest friend), who is also an awesome cook ...cheered me up to lengths today 🤗
✌
Day 6/100 days of productivity
************************* Carrom is a very popular table game in India, played with pawns that are slid on a wooden board. The goal of the game is to place all the disks of a color in the holes at the four corners of the board. Carrom became one of the favorite pastimes of the Indians. It is not uncommon to see rickshaw drivers playing on the sidewalk, between 2 races, or, as here, an improvised game in a street.
