Gone to Color feat. Carson Cox - “Voyeur Nation”
Gone to Color feel like they are shrouded in mystery, but the reality is that we at least know them as the production duo of Tyler Bradley Walker and Matt Heim, and while to the best of my knowledge, they remain figuratively puzzled -- choosing to use singles artwork and photo collages to promote each of the songs released so far off their eponymous debut -- we are familiar with the faces of those guesting throughout.
Following the promising lead single in the ethereal electronic trip-hop voyage of “The 606″, featuring Jessie Stein of the Luyas, they’re following it up with “Voyeur Nation”, which boasts the reemergence of Merchandise’s Carson Cox on vocals. As transformative as his own band’s sound evolved over the years from DIY noise-pop darlings to something akin to new age Brit-pop revisionists, it’s evident that Cox’s handsome murmur form-fits into new scenery with ease, with this occasion being Gone to Color’s digital plane expanding into a cascade of lucid guitar-pop. Peep it below...
Gone to Color’s Gone to Color will be released October 15th.
