"ITS JUST. OUGH. So basically all the members of the band (the mechanisms) are immortal space pirates. AND THIS IS THE SONG ABT HOW THEY ALL FINALLY DIE. And each one of their deaths is painfully tragic and fits their characters so well but OUCH IT HURTS. AND THEY ALL DIE ALONE. And after they spent so long witnessing tragedies from all around the universe its only fitting that their own deaths will be so tragic!!! And just. Man.
