Your Jaggers headcanons are killing me and I think I need more of them <3

i’m very glad you like them! and i have many of them so i’m glad you asked:

1) when Jaggers was younger, he would often spend hours in the family library in his childhood home. he had the ambition to read every book on every shelf, and would sometimes spend rainy days on a large armchair doing nothing but reading. sometimes, in the morning, he would be found asleep in the library with a book on his chest.

2) Jaggers smells like flowers, fresh but calming, and very clean. but, if you get close, you can detect the warm scent of a fireplace and parchment.

3) if anyone hoards quill pens, it’s Jaggers. they’re very special to him. he doesn’t even use them, they just sit in a locked glass cabinet in his office. (he probably talks to them)

4) i’ve kind of covered this one in my other headcanons but i’m saying it anyway. Jaggers is the biggest emotion bottler in the world. in the last episode, however deeply upset he must be after seeing Amelia so broken, he won’t do what Arthur did - nearly drink himself to death and cry. Jaggers puts it aside, locks it up, ignores it. but these emotions just fester.

5) Jaggers is actually really vulnerable underneath it all okay i know he is i can see it and he doesn’t deserve this and he needs love and someone to talk to because he’s so lonely and he won’t let himself show feelings even though he feels so much.

i’m sorry i got carried away. i love Jaggers.

on a lighter note, i have the idea stuck in my head that jaggers is a bit of a poet in his spare time. he’d probably have attempted novels and such, but i think poetry would probably be his forte. but no one would really know, and no one other than him would ever have read them.

also. i bet he’s had his heart very badly broken, and that’s why he’s so removed from the world. probably when he was younger, perhaps in school, or in the early days of his career. and he’s so reluctant to put himself out there because he’s terrified it will happen again.

Sad lonely Jaggers oh no what have you done!!

i’m sorry, i can’t help myself.

but he’s so lonely because he’s sort of removed himself from the world and he’s clearly pining over a woman who completely ignores him, is probably oblivious to his affection, is in love with someone else (that someone else happens to be the spawn of satan), is going to marry that spawn of satan, and also shouts at him when he’s just trying to help. and he is just having to deal with everyone else’s problems whilst ignoring his own and oh my god why
