TASK 4 – REMEMBER ME !!

One thing Lilo would certainly be remembered for is her weirdness. She’s not your average teenager, and she’s never been an average kid. Sewing her own dolls, listening to old music, rambling about conspiracies, tacking snapshots of shirtless strangers on her wall, using voodoo to ‘punish’ her ‘friends’ --- it’s safe to say that no one could ever forget about her quirkiness... as hard as they may try.

Elvis is a given. With the amount of records that are stacked in her room, the amount of times she brings him up in conversations (that aren’t relevant to him at all) and the amount of inspiration she draws from him, anyone that knew her even briefly would think of ‘the king of rock and roll’ when her name was mentioned.

The third thing someone would remember would be her passion of surfing, or further than that, her adoration of the ocean. She spends most of her spare time in the waves or daydreaming of them. There’s a peacefulness about it, and no matter the beach, no matter how happy she is with her room and her family, it’s the one place that she truly feels like she’s home. If she could grow fins, there’s a high chance she’d throw away her human life to live among the fish.

Another passion of hers to be remembered for: photography. Though her photo subjects aren’t what most people would call beautiful, she’s always carrying her camera around with her, and if you think of Lilo, it’s hard not to think of her snapping photos of everything she deems worthy... which could really be anything.

Possibly the main, and most important, thing that people would think associate Lilo with would be love. It runs through her veins. She can be violent, harsh, rude and judgmental, but never does her caring nature disappear. Underneath everything else, she loves. Fiercely. She loves the beach and music and shaved ice. She loves animals and children. She even loves humanity. She loves the kids that have tormented her. She understands they’re likely coming from a place of pain and more than wanting to punch them square in the nose, she desperately wants to wrap her arms around them and help them to realize how much better life would be if they lived it in a state of love rather than hate. It is definitely a choice to love. And Lilo Pelekai will always choose love.

task four -- remember me

Know that I'm with you the only way that I can be. 

though i have to travel far . . .

Rabbits -- A bit self-explanatory, but Nibs’s love for rabbits would surely keep his memory alive. Every time someone sees a rabbit in any way, shape, or form, they’d probably think of Nibs while they’re at it. 

Flannel Shirts -- No article of clothing is worn more than Nibs’s precious flannel shirts. He has a different color for each day of the week, just in case he’s tempted to actually wear one every day. When anyone sports some flannel, hopefully they don’t forget the boy who religiously wears them.

Sunrises -- Nibs is often up at the crack of dawn, preparing for his morning run and whatever the day will bring. Because of this, he’d like his loved ones to think of him every time the sun begins peeking up over the horizon. Though he may not be around, he’ll still be there in spirit. 

Freckles -- Nibs is covered head to toe in freckles, which he’s quite proud of. He loves the marks that make him so unique and help him stand out in a crowd. It’s kind of his trademark, so to speak, and would want people to always associate freckles with his memory.

Running -- It’s no secret that Nibs loves to run. If his loved ones were to see a passing jogger or even go running themselves, their thoughts would inevitably drift to Nibs. He’d want them to definitely stay active and jog through the Hundred Acre Wood in his honor.

TASK 4 – REMEMBER ME !!

First and foremost, Pascal would be remembered as being colorful. Sporting a different hair dye nearly every time they’re seen, never dressing in an outfit that could be considered bland, nails painted in fresh coats of polish several times a week... it’s hard to think of them without thinking of color. Because of their synesthesia, it’s easy for them to wear their emotions every single day, and they find comfort in the fact that no one would ever think of their life as ‘black and white’ or them as a dull person.

Despite being a walking rainbow however, they often blend into the crowd. They are not the person that strangers stop to have a random conversation with, even cast glances at. They are more of a background character than the main prodigy. It’s likely they go unnoticed due to their quiet nature, but they believe that words can be dangerous and should only be spoken with purpose.

Fortunately anyone that knows Pascal Greno, knows that they are honest. Not a carefully chosen word from their mouth should ever be doubted. If it isn’t the truth, they won’t say it. Rarely do they even try to sugarcoat. Lies are nothing but trouble, and to be known as a liar would be one of the worst fates. It doesn’t take many (short) conversations with them to realize that in their eyes, honesty is the best policy and one they follow religiously.

Another policy they believe in: being environmentally friendly. With their love for plants and their love for the town, the amount of upcycling and recycling they do, fixing any vandalism and destruction around Carthay, people would think back on them as someone who was considerate of other beings.

While it’s strange to consider the fact that they would be remembered for being a part of another person’s life, it is very likely that their existence would be chalked up to being Rapunzel’s sidekick. Their best friend for life, their soulmate, Pascal actually finds comfort in the idea that when people think of them, they’ll think of their love and loyalty for the most important person they ever met. If not for her, they wouldn’t have had the freedom or support to blossom into the truest version of themself, and they’d take being known as an extension of her for eternity as a compliment.
