Azgaar’s Fantasy Map Maker
If there is anyone out there looking to make a fictional world map, then I have found what might be one of the most amazing, detail-specific resources out available (and for free ontop of that).
Azgaar’s Fantasy Map Generator is far more than what it says on the tin. While it does the basics of map generation, it goes above and beyond in ways I never would have thought to ask from a simple map generator; you have the ability not only to generate cultures, religions, inner-country provinces and whatnot, but you are also able to minutely customize them even after generating them--you can theoretically make the world or map of your dreams down to the smallest detail.
Because really, what other (free) map generator lets you configure where on the globe your continents are located (to determine climates) and also allows you to FULLY CONFIGURE IT?
It was originally shared to the public in late 2019, and seems to get monthly updates from its creator. There is also a very active community for the tool on various section of the interwebs if you’re interested in seeing what other people have made with it!
