Fred Fishbowl Finkle — better known as Fred Finkle — is a fictional brown cartoon dog created by Jax and Gavin (Cheesefrog). He’s known for his green (sometimes red) collar, anxious personality, and tragic backstory that makes him one of the most oddly relatable cartoon dogs ever created.
Fred first appeared in the fictional animated series Fred Finkle and Friends!, which also starred his orange cat brother Kit Kringle and his goldfish companion Blub. The show originally aired in 2011 and was canceled in 2013 after Fred’s sudden disappearance. Though he was found two years later, the series never returned — largely because Fred himself refused to go back on television.

Kit is Fred’s older brother — an orange cat adopted in 1992. Acting as Fred’s guardian after their parents’ death, Kit became both a caretaker and friend. He’s protective, calm, and surprisingly patient for a cat who lives with a dog and a clueless goldfish.

Blub is Fred’s pet goldfish. He cannot talk, doesn’t understand anything, and is described as “just stupid.” Despite this, he’s Fred’s emotional anchor — and the one thing keeping him stable. If Blub were ever harmed, Fred might lose control entirely.

The series began in 2011 and featured the adventures (and misadventures) of Fred, Kit, and Blub.
