cartopathy replied to your post “Sherlock is so narratively rich, I feel bad for people who watch it...”
if you feel this way you've missed a lot of sherlock meta and there's a lot a lot more to the narrative when it's pointing to Johnlock, the subtext, the character mirroring, the symbolism. If you think Johnlockers are only looking for them to fuck, then you don't really know much about johnlockers and therefore i'm not sure why you feel the need to comment about it.
LOL we’re not living in the 1950s. If Moffat and Gatiss really wanted Gay Sherlock they would’ve just fucking written it. I watch Sherlock. I don’t participate in the fandom because I think the fandom is batshit crazy. I can comment how and when I want. I don’t post it in tags because duh. I value my life.
cartopathy reblogged your post and added:
Did you know Sherlock and Richard II have the same birthday
No! I did not know that. I have to admit, I don’t care enough one way or the other about Sherlock to know when his birthday is, but I do hope Sir Arthur Conan Doyle gave Sherlock Richard II’s birthday deliberately?

Would “thine” be more familiar than “yours” because if so I think each provides an interesting reading.
Yeah, “thine” is the familiar form whereas “yours” is formal. Richard switches back and forth between them when addressing Bolingbroke; by the end of the speech he’s back to “you” (”That bucket down and full of tears am I, / Drinking my griefs while you mount up on high”) and he continues using it during the rapid-fire exchange that follows, until the self-abnegating moment of “Ay, no, no, ay, for I must nothing be. / Therefore no “no,” for I resign to thee.” (Of course, the pronoun is also necessary here because it rhymes!) He then continues to address Bolingbroke as “thou” until the very end of the scene, when he adopts a rhetorical posture of submission: “I’ll beg one boon, / And then be gone, and trouble you no more” (this is about three lines after he contemptuously addresses Bolingbroke with “And I thank thee, King, / For thy great bounty”) and again right at the end: “Whither I will, so I were from your sights.”
It’s worth noting, incidentally, that the last time before this that Richard and Bolingbroke speak to each other is their meeting at Flint Castle. In that scene, Richard addresses Bolingbroke exclusively as “you.”

Afraid not, sorry. (It's marvellous, though. Very marvellous. And also very fun. Most of the times. When I'm not making predictable and embarrassing mistakes...)
