It was only a matter of time before Dan would be out of jail, Cass was sure of it. She spoken some with Adriana when she’d reached out to help the woman with whatever she might need, and was elated to hear that there had been some progress with the woman’s father. She hated the thought of her friend being behind bars, not only because she cared about him, but because she cared about his family, too. It was difficult trying to keep a balance between being there for Cassidy and not interfering with him, knowing his focus needed to be on his kids and his family at the moment. She was surprised when he’d wanted to hang out, but she was also grateful for the opportunity to see him, no matter how briefly. Once Cassidy’s NA meeting was over, she was already waiting outside for him, leaned up against the passenger door of her pickup truck, doing her best to look casual rather than showing just how happy she was to see him again. “Hey, you! How was today’s meeting?” she questioned, pushing herself away from the door, debating whether to hug him or not. @cassidy-bolton
