what's the most recent thing pig has been up to? :3 if it's not a spoiler for the piglets!
Someday, my tumblr inbox will tell me when I get messages on this blog the day I get them but I guess today is not that day bc I had to wait until somebody sent an ask to ANOTHER sideblog to see this.
TL;DR: The INTERLOPER Godfall proved to be almost more than everyone involved could handle- and Pig has been recovering, in the gap following.
To get more longwinded (and to account for the fact that the piglets are connected to godfall posts, and the Censer Smoke children will be finding homes first) Pig has taken a lengthy sabbatical from hunting Falls, and is instead training those who stepped into the position of Thronebreaker in the wake of INTERLOPER's descent from the Host, most notable, Mercy and Casanova- a former charlatan and tailor from Vaudemire Way.
{Mercy [he/him] and Casanova [he/him]}
One the alleged son of gods himself, and the other suddenly freed from a decades-long hypnosis after the events of the godfall, both seek now to tear the Puppeteer from her position on high, for very different reasons- regrettably, they're not exactly the killing kind that Thronebreaking requires- which has forced them into Pig's care- rather against the Guardian's will, as he doesn't tend to hold Mercy in a high regard, and doesn't exactly see much use in a tailor turned hunter, in Cas' case.
His children are grown, but still live at the circus, presently, honing their skills in combat, and learning circus disciplines as well, unlike their siblings who came before, they were born in the aftermath of the fall, instead of the lead-up, and while God-killing is in their blood- they've been told to earn their keep, and that means making the sideshow home, for now.
He's similarly been honing his work with Godsbone, Godsflesh, and raw magic, and is responsible for Sow's new, much cleaner bone armor- he's refined the internal workings of his cleaver designs as well, making them safer for his children to use- though he and Sow still wield the MK 1 prototypes- likely because the rumbling engine and constant risk of magical explosion works as a solid intimidation tactic.
