The hybrid hesitates, contemplating if she should answer or not.
Darren: You know I'm curious now as well. What's so important that you have to keep it locked up in a temple?
Vayu: I suppose you all should know, it is your duty after all... The latichu sighs before continuing.
Are you all aware of The Darkest Day?
Ninjara: You mean the day Eternatus supposedly went on a rampage destroying most of the Galar region?
Vayu: Precisely. What many aren't aware of is that Eternatus wasn't acting out of malicious intent but was rather manipulated into going on that rampage.
Solblitz: What does that have to do with the temple?
Vayu: When the first Eternatus arrived here they were just a baby searching for food, out of kindness Arceus nurtured it and helped it grow. Once it got old enough Arceus decided to form a group of humans and pokemon to watch over the Eternatus and guide it on the right path. It was only until the actions of one selfish human that The Darkest Day came to be.
Darren: What happened?
Vayu: A greedy human seeking power started to talk to them, corrupting its mind with visions of grandeur. Slowly but surely young Eternatus grew cold and sought to take all the world's energy for itself. Once the galarian heroes defeated the Eternatus it was revealed that they did not die but were rather reborn and once again an infant. So a temple was erected and a select group was chosen to watch over the child until they were old enough.
Buttermilk: So that means...
Darren: There's a baby Eternatus with my parents in there...
