"Evidence that Pokémon once familiar to us have been spotted in the various dimensions linked together by Ultra Space, in the same way that Ultra Beasts have been spotted in our own dimension. Upon falling through an Ultra Wormhole, these Pokemon become bathed in a strange energy that seems to facilitate rapid changes and adaptations needed to survive in their new environments, among other speculated effects. We have dubbed them "dimensional forms," though internally we use the code name "ultra variant," or "UV" for short."

It seems that when exposed to the bizarre lands of Ultra Space, Eevee's evolutions take on new forms. I wonder what other strange forms we have yet to see! More info coming soon!

-Vaporeon: polluted water, plastic debris and its impact on animals, mutations, oil and water don't mix
-Jolteon: overcharged long boi, they run through the skies and leave lightning trails behind them
-Flareon: explosive smoke cloud and shrapnel
-Umbreon: black holes and new moons because of Ultra Megalopolis's darkness theme
-Espeon: wise and (slightly) wrinkly sphynx cat with a 3rd eye
-Leafeon: bulky and ferocious tiger, stripes inspired by beta Leafeon
-Glaceon: bleached coral and asymmetry
-Sylveon: shinto shrine maidens and shide (zigzag paper streamers)
The multiverse is filled with an unquantifiable number of dimensions and regions, with many connected to each other in complicated webs of cosmic confusion. Between these universes exists a dimension that connects them to all other dimensions: Ultra Space. This dimension can be traversed by anyone with the power to do so, but is most frequently used by Solgaleos, Lunalas, and Necrozmas, in order to fast-travel through the multiverse and keep it safe.
The Ultra Beyond is a broad umbrella term for any world in a universe outside of Earth, except the Unown dimension and the home dimensions of Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Arceus, which are dimensions unique to each universe.
For reasons unknown to the author of this bestiary (Professor Redwood), humans seem to found their way into even the farthest corners of the Ultra Beyond, and have managed to make even the strangest worlds their home.
What is an Ultra Beast?
An Ultra Beast is any sentient lifeform that originates from the Ultra Beyond. Like how some can habituate to Earth’s dimension and lose their Ultra Beast properties, it is possible for creatures from Earth (or other non-Ultra Space worlds) to eventually habituate to the Ultra Beyond and obtain the properties of an Ultra Beast, even if, technically, they are not one in the strict sense.
To put it more simply: an Ultra Beast is a Pokémon that originates from the Ultra Beyond.

Note: These are only the “official” ones, and almost certainly hundreds if not hundreds of thousands or even millions, of other species of Ultra Beast species exist. It is silly to assume that each “world” within Ultra Space is only inhabited by a single species of Ultra Beast, and you are encouraged to imagine your own.

Ultra Deep Sea/The Sea of Nothing
On your journey through Ultra Space, you find yourself lost and stranded in a strange plane of existence. A world of floating “islands”, towering complex rock formations that create an intricate 3-dimensional landscape, and peculiar rock-based organisms that range from superficially resembling plants, to gigantic shelf “mushrooms” that grow out of the rocks themselves, to these strange creatures called Nihilegos. With the way the Nihilego move and the way the “flora” grow and the way the rocks shape themselves, it’s a world that looks almost as if it could be an underwater world… except its not. You behold the Sea of Nothing. You read about this place: while Ultra Space might be the gateway between worlds, the Sea of Nothing is the space between worlds, the aether as some might call it. It is the culmination of all space between the multiverse, and the only access point is through Ultra Space. And you fell right into it. Great.
You look around. You can hardly see past the towering rocks. The Sea of Nothing is strangely breathable, if poorly—you can’t help but wonder, is this a coincidence of Earth’s evolution where you, a human, just so happen to be able to breathe the air of Ultra Deep Sea, or would the air here have always been breathable to you, no matter what twists and turns were made in your evolution? No one knows.
You notice that the fabric of reality seems to work differently here. It’s no fluke that the Nihilegos can swim freely through the Sea of Nothing and the islands here float as if held there by the “waters” of an alien reality. Tales of Earthling explorers echo in your head, of traveling between these floating islands, but not easily. The fabric of your own world within you prevents you from swimming through the Sea of Nothing with any ease. It’s a good thing you thought to bring a flying-type companion with you.
There don’t seem to be many sentient lifeforms in this dimension between worlds, other than the Nihilegos. Be careful, traveler, for though the Nihilegos may be beautiful and graceful, they are powerful mind parasites. Be cautious of any you meet, but do not fret, for not all are foes.
Of the “worlds” described here, Ultra Deep Sea is the only one explicitly not directly connected to the others. From here forward, all others described could be in any combination of planets, regions, dimensions, timelines, universes, etc. The only rule is that the Ultra Deep Sea is the space between these “worlds.”
Ultra Jungle
A vast, humid, forest fills your view, dotted with giant, well-muscled trees that scrape the sky. There are volcanoes in the distance and rivers and streams that wind through the trees, and thick, rope-like vines that have somehow managed to snake themselves between and across the gigantic well-muscled trees.
Amongst the well-muscled trees is another, strikingly well-muscled creature, the Buzzwole. Be careful of these overgrown mosquitos, for they’ll drain the energy from you in seconds! Best to find a place to hide for now until you can figure out what to do next.
Ultra Desert
Before you stretches a seemingly-endless sandscape filled with alien rock formations and towering monoliths with turquoise-colored crystals. Surprisingly, it’s not as blisteringly hot and dry as you might expect a place such as this to be. There are occasional pools of water that encourage shrub-like organisms to grow and provide food for the ecosystem. The aforementioned turquoise-crystals grow in abundance here, providing beauty and color in an otherwise drab landscape.
Hardy adventurers, it is recommended that you bring companions with you capable of assisting you through this world’s rugged terrain. Here, you may also encounter a beautiful and alluring Pheromosa. Best be wary of these fashion models, for their charms can enchant most Pokémon into falling in love with them!
Ultra (Power) Plant
A darkened world of endless lightning storms fills the sky. Mesas dot the landscape, and walking around are alien creatures that appear to be made of living wires, who absorb the lightning strikes as energy. These are the Xurkitrees. They seem to mean you no harm, but best to be cautious—they may not notice that you’re there, for some are as tall as the mesas or greater! It’s no surprise that the Xurkitree are a keystone species to this world, for it is through them that the lightning strikes are safely absorbed and converted into biological energy. In a sense, they are as foundational to their homeworld as plants are on Earth.
Ultra Forest
The forest floor is covered in patches of sand beneath your feet, the leaves that fall from the trees are rectangular and paper-thin, and the world is covered in huge rock formations that create a 3-dimensional space to this alien forest. There are waterfalls in the distance, flowers bloom, and the air is clean. One of the most habitable of the alien worlds within the Ultra Beyond, the Ultra Forest has a small but thriving population of humans that have made this world their home.
Amongst the trees with the paper-thin leaves, you will find a large population of small, humanoid-ish looking creatures called Kartana. They are dangerous if provoked, but are far more fearful of any fire-types you may have with you, than they are of you. Best stay out of their way until you can establish yourself as a friend. Many of the people here have befriended their own Kartanas—these trainers call themselves “kartenvoys,” and do not hold their Kartana companions in any form of Pokéball.
Ultra Crater
The ground quakes violently beneath you! As you gather your bearings, you see in the distance a truly colossal being of impossible heights blasting off into the sky like a rocket into space—where is it going, why does it leave? The creature you just saw was a Celesteele, one of the largest creatures to ever grace the multiverse. Okay, the earthquake is over, and as you look at where the Celesteele just was, you see that it left behind an equally gigantic crater. Actually, you notice that the entire mountainous landscape is littered with these craters, each at different stages of ecological succession. You also see what looks to be metal pipes growing in and out of the ground like tree roots. Above you, the yellow sky blots out the sun a bit, smoke from the volcanic fumes and the Celesteelas, but the sunlight that breaks through suffices at powering the world you see.
Weary travelers, do not fear the Celesteelas. They mean you no harm, and are unlikely to cause you any immediate danger. You may take shelter in the abandoned craters and find food and water.
Ultra Ruins
You behold a desolate city. Any life that remains exists in hiding. The rains still come. Remnants of civilization scatter the desolation: faded signs, steel beams, old soda bottles, plastic wrappers, abandoned houses, and so, so much more. A few plants grow here and there despite it all. You thought you saw something small move in the corner of your eye—but it disappeared before you could get a good look at it. The abandoned, boarded-up houses capture your attention, and you wonder why all these people left. Did they leave? Or did they perish? No—you look closer—they definitely left. Why? You can’t see what would be so bad. Wary, you keep on journeying through the desolated city, your mind sharpened to any threats.
And then you see it. The reason everyone left.
Before you is a great behemoth of a creature. With a gigantic gaping mouth like a glowing blue blackhole, four arms with massive claws, spikes all over its body, two pairs of eyes that glowed like the inside of its horrendous mouth, a huge tail, and an appetite like none you had ever seen before nor would ever see again. The behemoth doesn’t notice you right away, and instead keeps munching away on the building its decided to make a meal of.
Terror strikes you. This behemoth, this eldritch glutton, is known by some as Guzzlord.
You are in grave danger.

may i ask you to tell me about the different dimensions and stuff specifically relating to oras and rs? i have a fic idea but i need to know more about this and i figured a combination of reading bulbapedia, reading the oras arc, and asking you about it (as i think you'd mentioned knowing about it before? i may be wrong) would be good

I think you should look into Ultra Space as well.
Basically there are multiple dimensions (duh). In the Delta Episode (ORAS post game) they talk about sending a meteor to another dimension using a link cable (a reference to the GB/GBC/GBA accessory that allowed you to trade Pokemon). In the Delta Episode they mention there being a dimension where mega evolution doesn't exist. Due to the nature of ORAS being remakes of RSE with multiple changes to the environment, story, and gameplay, it is believed that the original RSE is this dimension without mega evolution that Zinnia was speaking of.
In SM/USUM they introduce Ultra Space. Actual Ultra Space is a realm between dimensions, but it is also the term you should Google to find more about the actual different dimensions. In it there are portals known as ultra wormholes that lead to different worlds. Some of these other worlds are the original homes of the ultrabeasts. Poipole for example is said to be a starter pokemon in its original dimension in its Ultra Sun dex entry.
Sun and Moon aren’t the only ones in the Pokémon AU…
