Tumblr mobile isn't letting me send things to you. x_x but for the AU, maybe a Alistair x Warden story with a dog grooming twist? :) or anything animal related really. I'm not picky. ;)
“Love? Sweetie? Dear?” came Alistair’s voice, a quiver and hesitance carrying it across the house. “Uh, honey?”
Astaria craned her head around the corner, toothbrush readied at her mouth. “It’s not good is it.” The statement was flat and not much of a question.
Alistair gave a weak smile, his hand resting on the latch to the sliding backdoor. A hunk of mabari stood on the other side, the stubby tail wagging so hard its entire butt rocked back and forth with the movement.
“I think someone found a friend in the backyard.” The dog pranced in a circle and then resumed staring through the glass smudged with nose prints.
Her eyes widened and she turned the toothbrush on him. “You’re taking him to be groomed! Right now!”
“But he’s going to stink up my car!”
One hand fell to her hip. “I’ll turn the hose on both of you.”
A half hour later Alistair handed the leash over to the groomer with a sigh. The man across the counter squinted and asked, “What happened to your hair?”
“Hanging your head out the window on the highway isn’t as fun as dogs make it seem.”
