Equity
The contributions and rewards for each person must be fair, or it will cause decreased team morale, dissatisfaction, and stress. Balance empathy with the needs of team members and the goals needed to be achieved, by openly communicating why certain decisions were made and acknowledging extra efforts undertaken. However, this is not a long-term solution. There are few things that can be done:
Arrange a team debrief to discuss how the workload can be managed better, so that this does not happen again.
Clearly communicate of expectations and assumed responsibilities of the role, so everyone is aware of what they need to do and why.
Encourage a culture where people feel safe asking for help early if possible, because it is easier to come up with solutions early than scrambling for one last minute.
Give people an opportunity to take accountability for their actions. If they do not act on this opportunity, you may be forced to take an action to not only uphold your own values but for fairness of everyone else involved.
Motivation
Motivation is understood as the amount of energy someone is willing to undertake to achieve their tasks or goals. Under external circumstances, people may have difficulty working towards their goals due to anxiety, lack of time and energy, fear of personal retribution, and denial.
In those circumstances, it is important to seek context on why someone may be motivated to act (or not act) a certain way, acknowledge their hardship, work together to solve the problem, and be firm on why certain actions may be unhelpful, or even harmful to themselves and others. For example, cheating in a group work may cause penalized marking and expulsion not just for themselves and others, and will have wide consequences on one's academic and professional career.
If people find taking an action difficult, you can help them by separating high priority tasks to low priority tasks, divide a task into smaller, more manageable chunks, set up internal deadlines and reminders, and be available for them when they need help. Be aware that they might not accept your help, so remind them there are resources that can help them in their situation, and that they are not alone.
Problem solving
Identify the problem in the stimulus, generate potential solutions and actions to the problem, justify why you have taken those actions, and provide alternatives if they do not work out.
In an academic environment, a professor or an academic advisor can arrange alternative tasks or provide extensions when undergoing hardship. In a professional setting, HR can offer different perspectives and use their authority to come up with alternative solutions.
You don't have to do everything yourself, you can ask others for help with brainstorming ideas and delegating tasks, but in the end you are responsible for your own actions.
It is a good idea to remind people of their agreed responsibilities, company or academic policies, and what the long-term consequences would be if the problematic action continues on.
Professionalism
Some traits of professionalism include integrity, punctuality, reliability, and organizational skills. This means keeping to one's commitments without over promising, communicating openly, proactively, and sincerely, and having necessary materials available in advance for tasks. People must take accountability for their own actions, just as they get credit for their efforts. What can be done to ensure that a similar problem does not occur again in the future?
Resilience
Whether deadlines fast approach, and you are swamped in work or not, external circumstances can happen, and it is good to be able to adapt and learn from challenging experiences for personal growth.
Making use of what resources are available and problem solve when a task cannot be managed via asking for help when necessary and communicate, without the need for private details. This could also mean seeking medical help, which can be challenging and someone may need an extra push or support for it.
After they have overcome the hardship, they may learn that they are not alone and they can rely on others when they need to do so. They can even learn from the experience and use it to empower themselves during future difficulties.
Self awareness
Are you sure you have all the information you need to act upon a problem? Did you hear that correctly? Do you have the full context? Do they even want your help?
Be aware that some people may feel uncomfortable directly asking to you for help, or even to communicate what may be wrong. Therefore, it is always a good idea to believe that everyone is working their best, even if they may not look like it.
If you faced a challenging situation, what happened, and what did you learn from the experience? What do you think you can do better next time? Keep in mind that you are responsible for your own actions.
Respect yourself, be kind, and establish boundaries.

Collaboration
Collaboration is when two or more people work together to achieve a goal. When working together, there are responsibilities agreed on, achieving goals and meeting deadlines. When those responsibilities are not met, it can adversely affect the performance of the entire team, causing unnecessary stress and creating tension within the group. It is important to acknowledge that this strain may occur, and extra efforts that other team members may have undergone to achieve the goal. If someone feels too overwhelmed, we can work together as a team to figure out how the affected member can contribute in ways that feel manageable while protecting their well-being.
Communication
Few traits that make someone a great communicator includes honesty, transparency, empathy, and the ability to seek context if there are information missing. An effective communication in group setting may involve documentation and confirmation to reduce the likelihood of miscommunications, and using follow-up questions to foster mutual accountability and responsibility. Creating a supportive and motivating environment through fostering a sense of inclusion may help in this endeavor.
Empathy
Always assume the best of others, and consider all perspectives, and acknowledge any hardships, efforts, and internal hardships people may have undertaken under your suggestion. Try to understand the context of the situation to the best of your ability, by taking a moment and asking clarifying questions.
When taking actions that may be hurtful, it is important to admit that they are taken due to the concerns for their well being (and if they deserve to know any bad news). Avoid blaming and accusatory tones, and communicate how you feel and how their actions may affect you or your team members' well being, reputation, or academic performance.
Foster trust by clear communication and give people opportunities if they have done something wrong. However, keep in mind to never compromise your values - those values may be integrity, fairness, and progress. Strike a balance between meeting individual needs and group values/priority.
Always encourage people to take accountability for their actions by having them clarify what they did wrong, apologise, or communicating to appropriate people.
Take action (if x then y) if necessary, but do so in a mature, professional way. You don't have to be empathetic and compassionate all the time, but it will help a lot.
Be aware that there are resources available to others for help. For jobs, academic advisors and counseling are there, and they may even offer people extensions or more lenient marking. There are clear guidelines in the company policies, academic conduct, and assignment marking guidelines, and people can always take a look at them if they are not sure about something. Encourage asking for clarifications. Superiors can offer alternative perspectives and unique solutions based on their past experience and authority.
In terms of communication, documentation to ensure everyone is on the same page ("share mutual understanding and feel comfortable moving forward"), and accommodation during difficult situations, especially during difficult times.

Focus on what you value. For example, if the question is about friendships, what do you value in friendships? What about leadership? Keep in mind the 9 traits the CASPER is testing you for (like feeling morally obligated to take action because I value integrity, fairness, honesty, respect in relationships, balancing individual needs and group values, and accountability)

No, we’re not talking about a friendly ghost! The CASPer our universities work with is an aptitude test that assesses a student’s decision-making skills, thought processes, and people skills through open-ended questions. This is what’s known as a situational judgment test (SJT). It asks what you would do in a tough situation, and more importantly, why. This helps determine behavioral tendencies of applicants pursuing people-centered professions.

boy was I nervous in the beginning; keep running out of time on the last question for each section. However, I begin to enjoy the questions more and more as it went on, especially that last question. :P
